John 5 - Guitar Player
Gary Moore R.I.P

Gary Moore was a great musician, guitarist singer songwriter.
I still have the vinal version of Victims of the Future. Pretty much thats when I first heard his solo work. I also had Thin Lizzy albums prior to buying his solo work. Here is a song from Victims of the Future with a great solo he plays with so much feeling like other guitarist I love such as John Frusciante.

Give him a listen if you like metal or blues or just love the guitar.

John Mayer - Battle Studies Tour 2010
John Mayer @ Staples Center Los Angeles March 25,2010.
Here is the setlist.

Pretty good set
1.Heartbreak warfare was good
2 & 3.I dont care much for
I must say that I became a fan a few years after Continuum was released. I was talking to the guy (Rob) who sits next to me at work and John Mayer came up at that point I had not heard any of his music that weekend I was channel surfing and found John Mayer on Austin City Limits. That was all I had to see and I started to look for his music on the internet and videos on YouTube. I found "John Mayer - Continuum Preview - Star 98.7 - 08-23-2006" It was 1 file with John talking at the begining and end of each song this was a great introduction to his music and I listened to it begining to end around 30 times over the next 2 weeks. I dont like any of his albums prior to continuum. Back to the set.
4 Vultures great song nice arrangement he tends to change the arrangement of his songs every once in awhile thats why I look for alot of his live shows online
5.Perfectly Lonely was really good great guitar lead
6. Slow Dancing in a burning room has a great into where David Ryan Harris plays his electric guitar (clean) and sings in this really great falceto voice and now I am interested in his music found a couiple videos of him performing.
This pic is form the show during Slow Dancing in a burning room

7.Assassin - was good but kind threw the mood off a little since this song to me is least like the rest great guitar lead
8.Diddnt care for these songs.
9.Aint No Sunshine - WAS AMAZING I was so surprised by him playing this song I didnt know he had been covering it. He said something like let me groove so I thought he was just gonna play a portion but they played the entire song and the guitar work was AMAZING. I found a live version on YOUTUBE from NY still looking for a good quality version from Los Angeles but have been listing to the one from NY ove rand over.
10.Waiting on the world to change starts with a drum solo from Steve Jordan. I cant even say how much this guy fucking grooves and rocks on the drums. I have compared this drum solo with other ones on this tour and I believe LA was the best so far, it leads into the song and it was great.
wATCH THIS SICK DRUM SOLO + GUITAR JAM + WAITING ON THE WORL TO CHANGE
11.Belief - Is a great a song have heard it at least 100 times and this live version was a highlight Robbie McIntosh slide guitar is so sweet and John's lead is so funky.
12.Half of My Heart/ Dreams was a nice mix.
13.Journey cover was fine
14. Why Georgia - Dont care for this to much
Encore:
15. Who Says - Good.
16. Gravity - Great song and probably has the lead with the most feeling of all his songs reminds me of something Frusciante would play.
So overall even though he played some songs I didnt want to hear and didnt play some songs I would have loved to hear such as: I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You), Dreaming With A Broken Heart and Bold As Love it was one of my favorite concerts.

Here are some more pictures.

Rob Zombie - Halloween 2009
Rob Zombie @ The Hollywood Palladium Saturday OCT. 31,2009
I had tickets but I also have a 5 year old so trick or treating was more important.
It was really hard to make the decision to sell my tickets because Rob Zombie always puts on a great show. John 5 is one of my favorite guitarist as well. Not to mention The Hollywood Palladium is a great General Admission place to see your favorite bands.
I hope to see Rob Zombie again soon.
